What’s Going On?
AI runs on giant computers called data centers. These computers get super hot, so they use tons of water to cool down. The more people use AI… the more water gets used.
We’re not trying to cancel AI. We love it too! We just want everyone to understand what’s happening so we can make smart choices.
Quick Facts
- AI computers drink water like crazy, sometimes millions of liters a day
- Water keeps the machines from overheating
- Using AI isn’t “free” - it uses energy from the real world
- You can help by using AI mindfully
How YOU Can Help
- Don’t spam AI generators, make only what you need
- Support tech companies that use green energy
- Share our hashtag #SaveTheWater to teach others
- Talk about this in class, with friends, or online
